Mekhann is a London design house creating one‑of‑a‑kind and limited hand‑embroidered silk pieces for interiors. We are looking for a highly organised Content Manager to manage the day‑to‑day execution of Mekhann’s social media, website content, shoots and campaign assets. This is a content execution and production coordination role. Mekhann’s art direction and final creative judgement are founder‑led. The Content Manager’s role is to turn clear creative direction into organised content plans, shoot briefs, prepared assets, website updates, social posts and campaign‑ready creative.

The role suits someone with strong visual judgement, excellent organisation and a practical understanding of how content moves from idea to shoot, asset selection, approval and publication. This is not a standalone photographer, videographer, video editor, paid media buyer or brand strategy role. Professional photography, advanced video production and paid media buying may be handled with external specialists where required. This role is responsible for briefing, coordinating and preparing the assets needed for those partners to work properly.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the weekly content calendar
  • Coordinate content across Instagram, Pinterest and other agreed social channels
  • Prepare website content updates across agreed pages, campaign surfaces, store pages and product‑led areas
  • Turn founder‑led art direction into clear content tasks, shoot briefs, shot lists and publishing plans
  • Plan and coordinate product, showroom and campaign shoots
  • Prepare shot lists, product lists, location notes and content requirements before each shoot
  • Brief and coordinate photographers, videographers, editors and external content partners where required
  • Manage asset delivery, selection, folder structure, file naming, usage status and publishing status
  • Prepare image and video assets for social media, website, email and paid campaign use
  • Capture simple in‑house content for stories or showroom moments where appropriate
  • Prepare basic crops, format adaptations or simple cutdowns where needed
  • Draft first‑pass captions, website copy, campaign copy and short content blocks within Mekhann’s approved tone
  • Prepare creative asset packs for paid media partners
  • Track what has been briefed, shot, edited, approved, published and still requires input
  • Keep content moving through approval and publication with discipline and clarity

About you

  • Highly organised and strong at execution
  • Visually literate, with a strong eye for interiors, objects, materials, colour and room presence
  • Comfortable producing and coordinating content for both social media and website environments
  • Confident planning shoots and turning one shoot into multiple useful content assets
  • Experienced in managing content calendars, folders, asset libraries and approval workflows
  • Comfortable briefing photographers, videographers, editors or external creative partners
  • Able to work within an established brand direction rather than trying to reinvent it
  • Comfortable writing clean, restrained first‑pass copy
  • Practical, calm and consistent with follow‑through
  • Comfortable working in a founder‑led business where detail and judgement matter
  • Able to ask precise questions when information is missing

Relevant experience

  • Interiors or design studio content
  • Premium homeware or luxury retail content
  • Gallery, architecture or showroom content
  • Social media content production for a visually led brand
  • Website content for a product‑led business
  • Campaign content coordination
  • Branded content production
  • Editorial content with strong operational discipline
  • Shoot coordination or content production support
  • Content management for a product‑led or design‑led business

You do not need to come from a large company. You do need to be comfortable taking ownership in a compact, founder‑led team.

Useful tools and skills

  • Experience with some of the following would be useful: Instagram, Pinterest, Shopify or a similar website CMS, Klaviyo or a similar email content platform, Google Drive, Notion, Later, Planoly or similar scheduling tools, Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic image formatting
  • Basic video cutdowns
  • Content calendars
  • Shoot planning
  • Asset management
  • Website content workflows

Role boundaries

This role owns content organisation, production coordination, asset preparation and publishing follow‑through. It does not own brand strategy, final art direction, paid media buying or advanced photo/video production. Founder‑led art direction and final creative judgement remain with Mekhann. The Content Manager should be able to take that direction and make it operational: what needs to be shot, what needs to be prepared, what needs approval, what can be published, and what should be handed to an external specialist. Basic in‑house content capture and simple formatting may be useful, but the main responsibility is content organisation, shoot coordination and execution follow‑through.

Success in this role

Success in this role means Mekhann’s social media, website content, shoots and campaign assets become more consistent, better organised and easier to approve. Content should move from direction to planning, production, asset preparation, approval and publication with more discipline and less friction.

Location

The role is based across Mekhann’s London stores and showroom environments, primarily Chelsea and Mayfair. This is a hybrid, showroom‑led role. It requires regular work with physical products, stores, showroom environments and shoots. Planning, editing, scheduling, copywriting and asset organisation may be done flexibly where appropriate. This is not a fully remote role.

Salary

£42,000 - £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

To apply

Please send: your CV, 3–5 examples of relevant content work, links to social media accounts, campaigns, websites, shoots or content projects you have worked on, a short note explaining your role in producing or coordinating those examples. Applications should include relevant work examples. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid practical task.
