The Floor Lead plays a pivotal role on our store leadership team, driving the success of the store by upholding exceptional customer service standards, fostering team development, and ensuring seamless execution of daily operations. As a key presence on the sales floor, the Floor Lead embodies Mejuri’s values and inspires the team with a collaborative, can-do attitude, creating an engaging environment for staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Customer: Lead by example and validate the quality of the in-store customer experience by communicating, training, and upholding expectations on the team on Mejuri’s Steps of Selling.
- STACK Leadership: Maximise results and achievement of KPIs by driving personal performance as well as the performance and engagement of the team.
- Services: Ensure a positive customer experience and promotion of services offerings including piercing, engraving, and other offerings.
- Operations: Participate in monthly inventory and cycle counts; ensure teams have proper technology and guidance; support in-store sales, phone sales or BOPIS, ensuring efficient packaging and delivery standards; maintain BOH and display inventory, packaging, and supplies; proficient in POS and inventory software; mitigate losses; identify and escalate opportunities, gaps, risks and roadblocks with cross-functional partners.
- Merchandising: Maintain Mejuri’s brand standards of visual presentation, cleanliness and functionality; validate display integrity and notify teams when tools are missing or damaged; coach on visual merchandising standards; uphold brand standards in presentation and cleanliness; escalate inefficiencies.
- People: Onboarding, assess performance against criteria and KPIs, engage with employees, adhere to policies and compliance practices.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Experience in a high-volume retail environment.
- Adaptable with the ability to think creatively and quickly.
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills.
- Critical thinking ability — identify potential challenges and develop action plans.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays in alignment with store availability.
