We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Production Planner to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, managing work orders through our ERP system, and ensuring materials and resources are available to meet customer demand efficiently. This is a key role connecting production, procurement, and logistics to ensure that our manufacturing operations can run smoothly so we are meeting customer requirements first time, on time, and in full.
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
- Analyse capacity and balance workloads across shifts, machines, or production lines.
- Track and report on production performance, highlighting risks and proposing recovery actions when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Logistics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
Requirements:
- 3β5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting tools.
- Knowledge of BOMs, routings, capacity planning, and inventory control principles.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
