MEININGER Hotel Edinburgh is looking for a Supervisor of F&B. Do you see yourself as a supportive and caring leader with an aptitude for fun? Get ready for your new adventure!

YOUR TASKS

  • You’re a great host, ensuring your guests enjoy a safe and memorable stay.
  • You work in collaboration with the Hotel Manager and Assistant Hotel Manager to ensure the smooth running of the F&B operations (including the Service & Bar departments).
  • You make sure that all internal and external standards and processes are in place and you are in contact with all F&B suppliers for an optimal commercial relationship.
  • You are responsible for the control of the supply of goods, stock control and costs as well as monthly reports (inventories and P&L analysis).
  • You are responsible for the implementation, monitoring and improvement of MEININGER quality standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • You manage the F&B team, recruit together with Hotel Manager, guide and develop the diverse team of around 10 people (Supervisor, employees and Barman).
  • You train, coach and mentor your team with an individual approach, aiming for everyone to perform to their full potential.
  • You’re flexible and understand working on all days of the week, sometimes early/sometimes late, during weekends and on public holidays comes with the job.
  • Finally, you’re a great colleague, not afraid to jump in to support other departments every now and then.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have min. 2 years of F&B experience in a hotel/hostel and/or in the HoReCA sector, including experience in a management position.
  • You act as a role model and enjoy working shifts and together with your team.
  • You have experience in conducting F&B training and coaching.
  • You have a keen eye for details, recognise opportunities for improvement and implement them.
  • You are confident in dealing with numbers, cash register systems and cash register closings (knowledge of Addipos or Sihot is an advantage).
  • You are solution-oriented, show strong commitment and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • You are convinced of and know the advantages of working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
  • With your open communication, you contribute to the team spirit and support your team in achieving common goals.
  • You have a very good grasp of the English language (min. B2).
