This position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education. The pharmacist must be patient‑directed, clinically oriented, and possess a vision to take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
- Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
- Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
- Motivate team members to perform at their highest level.
- Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
- Have effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
- Use excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Listen to the patient and resolve patient needs and provide customer service.
- In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for pharmacy operations.
- Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
- Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
- Experience in Retail/Community Practice.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements in the state where the unit operates.
Compensation:
Salary: £140,504.00 per year. This flat rate is carefully determined based on the responsibilities of the role and current market trends. The rate is reviewed and adjusted as needed to remain competitive and aligned with evolving market data.
