Our client, a leading specialist within the MEICA infrastructure sector, is looking to recruit experienced CompEx Electricians to support a growing portfolio of work across the water, energy and industrial sectors. The Opportunity
Working as part of specialist ATEX and Electrical Services teams, you’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, inspection, testing and maintenance activities within hazardous environments. The majority of projects are within the water industry, although the role will also involve supporting work across manufacturing and energy sectors, offering a varied and technically interesting workload. You’ll be joining an experienced and highly supportive engineering team where safety, quality and professional standards are at the forefront of everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical installation and maintenance works within hazardous areas
- Working in compliance with BS7671: 18th Edition and BS EN 60079 standards
- Fault-finding, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Supporting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
- Completing accurate documentation and service reports
- Working collaboratively with ATEX and electrical engineering specialists
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and customer service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within ATEX zones and hazardous environments
- Strong understanding of Ex protection concepts
- CompEx Ex01 & Ex04 (Gas & Vapours) certification
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Industrial electrical experience
- Full UK driving licence
