Role Description

The Security Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Middlesbrough. The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting client premises, assets, and people through regular patrols, access control, visitor and contractor management, and monitoring of security systems such as CCTV and alarms. Daily tasks include conducting thorough security checks, responding to incidents and emergencies, completing clear and accurate log reports, and following site-specific instructions and procedures. The role also involves liaising with clients, colleagues, and emergency services when required, maintaining a visible security presence, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Security Officers are expected to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays, depending on client requirements.

• Candidates should possess physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including working in varying weather conditions.
• Valid SIA licence (e.g., Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and prior experience in security, policing, military, or a related field are highly beneficial.
• Basic IT skills for using security systems and completing electronic reports, along with a clean criminal record and eligibility to work in the UK, are required.
• Professional attitude, reliability, flexibility to work different shifts, and a commitment to health and safety and safeguarding best practices are essential.
