About the role

This full-time traineeship offers hands-on experience across a growing community sporting organisation. Your duties may include:

  • Supporting domestic competitions and representative programs.
  • Assisting with fixturing, registrations, results and venue coordination.
  • Responding to enquiries from players, families, clubs and the wider community.
  • Creating communications and assisting with website and marketing activities.
  • Supporting representative programs, including trials, team selections, travel, uniforms and events.
  • Assisting with general administration and program budgets.

No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity to gain broad experience across sports administration.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to learn. Ideally, you will have:

  • An interest in basketball, community sport or sports administration.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Confidence using technology and learning new systems.
  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle, which would be highly regarded due to occasional travel to other facilities.

No previous administration experience is required.

9:30 am to 5:30 pm , with some flexibility depending on operational requirements. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during busy competition periods.
