Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Plymouth (on-site) Salary: £44,000 per annum Employment Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours / varied shift pattern Our client, a leading manufacturing business in Plymouth, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on varied shift patterns to ensure the reliability and safety of manufacturing assets. The position offers opportunities for training and continuous development within a safety-focused environment. The Role * Adhere to company rules, health and safety, and environmental standards. * Perform preventative planned maintenance tasks to ensure asset safety and reliability. * Conduct fault finding on all assets and repair machine breakdowns. * Identify and support corrective actions on asset and process limitations. * Work with and install single phase and three phase electrical circuits. * Engage in training and continuous development opportunities as required. * Continuously seek to improve the reliability and cost-effectiveness of all assets. * Contribute to the company's objectives and values. Required Expertise * Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment. * Strong mechanical fault-finding skills. * Experience with preventative maintenance systems and breakdown repair. * Good understanding of health and safety requirements. * Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to unplanned issues.
