Salary: £14.36 per hour

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (3-month secondment)

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Wholesale Skilled Operative to join Riverford's thriving employee-owned wholesale operation based at Lower Dean. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business renowned for its commitment to organic produce, sustainability, and creating a workplace where co-owners genuinely share in the company's success.

Working within a busy warehouse environment, you will support the Wholesale Site Manager in ensuring wholesale orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently, while helping maintain high standards of quality, productivity and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Wholesale Site Manager with the day-to-day running of wholesale warehouse operations.
  • Pick, pack and prepare wholesale customer orders accurately and to a high standard.
  • Motivate and support team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with the training, onboarding and ongoing development of new and existing team members.

About You

Essential:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, production or operational environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication and team-working skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • Accurate, methodical approach with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and stock management systems.
  • Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
  • A willingness to learn and further develop operational knowledge and skills.
