Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30

About the Role

We are recruiting for a TIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established and respected metal fabrication business based in Lee Moor, Plympton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for delivering high-quality bespoke fabrication and installation projects across a range of sectors. Working within both workshop and site environments, you will be responsible for TIG welding, fabrication, assembly, and installation of bespoke metalwork, while supporting the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out precision TIG welding on stainless steel components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate and assemble bespoke metalwork.
  • Set out and install balustrades and other architectural metalwork on customer sites.
  • Supervise team members and support project delivery where required.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, adapting to changing priorities across workshop and site-based activities.

About You

Essential:

  • Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel, supported by valid welding qualifications or tickets.
  • Strong background in metal fabrication and installation.
  • Proven experience working with heavy steel fabrication and structural steel components.
  • Own transport is essential due to the rural Lee Moor location.

Desirable:

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience installing architectural metalwork and balustrade systems.
  • Experience working on bespoke fabrication projects from concept through to installation.
