Working within a quality-focused manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate measurement, calibration, and inspection activities, while supporting quality assurance processes, production requirements, and customer acceptance activities.
- Perform accurate measurement and inspection of components, castings, and forgings using manual instruments, CMM equipment, and 3D scanning technology.
- Generate measurement reports and maintain traceability of samples, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Conduct material integrity testing including ultrasonic inspection and hardness testing using Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, and Leeb methods.
- Provide support for quality assurance activities and cover Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) duties during periods of absence, holiday, or increased workload.
Previous experience in metrology, quality inspection, calibration, or a similar engineering environment.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, gauges, and inspection tools.
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Experience with CMM programming, Opticline systems, or 3D scanning equipment.
- Knowledge of ultrasonic testing, hardness testing, or metallurgical preparation techniques.
- Experience working within aerospace, automotive, defence, or other precision engineering sectors.
Competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum. Additional 20% shift premium.
