The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently
- Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on plant and machinery
- Install, commission, and support new and existing equipment
- Support continuous improvement, identifying and resolving repeat issues
- Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records and stock information
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Assist with machinery moves and site improvements
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, including risk assessments
- Support TPM initiatives across the site
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors
- Provide guidance to apprentices or new starters where required
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A completed Maintenance Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications
- Experience working with CNC machinery
- Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with Fanuc control systems and PLCs
- Understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices
- Good IT and communication skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
Desirable:
- IOSH certification
- Specific machine tool knowledge
- Leadership or mentoring experience
