We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Trainee Production Technician! In this role, you will play a key part in the Production Assembly team, responsible for manufacturing high voltage and high current test equipment used across the UK and globally. You will be testing, fault-finding down to component level, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic products ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. You’ll also contribute to improvement initiatives in our drive toward a lean manufacturing environment. This position is an entry-level role with opportunities for skill development and career advancement. Key Responsibilities
- Fault find, repair, calibrate and test electronic field and bench type equipment.
- Fault find and repair at printed circuit board level, including replacing surface mount components.
- Follow test specifications and safe systems of work, adhering to COSHH and risk assessments.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and represent Manufacturing in New Product Development teams.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential requirements:
- Education to Level 3 standard (A-level, BTEC or equivalent), ideally in a technical subject or relevant practical experience.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable (training can be provided):
- Qualification in an electronic discipline (or equivalent).
- Ability to read and understand schematics, manuals, or circuit diagrams.
- Awareness of engineering/mechanical drawings.
- Exposure to component-level fault finding and repair.
- Previous hands-on experience in a technical or electronics environment.
