We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Test Engineer. In this role which is based on-site at our Dover facility, you will contribute to and/or mentor the design, development, and build of a range of production test equipment. This will support the corporate business strategy, enabling business growth through product excellence across all markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support existing test equipment in production from both hardware and software perspectives.
- Design, procure, and construct new test equipment from concept to commissioning.
- Develop software to facilitate fully automated testing of Megger products.
- Calibrate and support bespoke equipment designed in-house, as well as third-party test equipment.
- Utilize a range of metrological techniques and design considerations relevant to Megger's product range.
- Develop innovative test and measurement methodologies in line with new technologies and hardware obsolescence.
- Represent the Test Gear teamβs needs in New Product Development projects.
- Mentor and support the development of Apprentice/Graduate Test Engineers.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience in an equivalent or comparable Test Engineer role.
- Must hold academic qualification of at least HNC/HND level with Engineering bias.
- Experience with test, measurement, and calibration techniques.
- Strong knowledge of DC/LF analogue and digital operations in microprocessor-based systems.
- Competency in mechanical workshop skills, including hand tools and machine tools such as lathes and milling machines.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for schematic and PCB layout design.
- Experience with ATE test systems, ICT (In-Circuit Test), and FCT (Functional Test).
- Solid programming skills in a .NET language (preferably Visual Basic and C#) for hardware and I/O control.
- Experience with Keysight i3070 ICT and Aeroflex 5800 FCT platform.
