The Vacancy
We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Import and Export Compliance Officer.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with company and customs procedures. You will support global import and export operations, collaborating with customs agents, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor all import and export shipments, ensuring timely dispatch, delivery, and documentation accuracy.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Calculate and reconcile freight costs, duties, and tariffs in collaboration with the finance team.
Maintain accurate records of commodity codes and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
Build strong working relationships with freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal departments to resolve shipment and compliance issues.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience in international trade, logistics, or a related field, with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, transport methods, and customs procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP ERP/CRM experience desirable.
Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within a team environment.
