We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals, and right now we are seeking to recruit a driven and innovative Lead Systems Architect for our Engineering team in Kent. In this pivotal role, you’ll translate business and customer requirements into robust, scalable, and compliant products. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, drive architectural decisions, and ensure our products meet the highest technical, quality, and regulatory standards from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and own the system architecture vision for new product development.
- Translate requirements into system-level specifications and define interfaces across hardware, firmware, software, and mechanical systems.
- Lead trade-off studies, risk assessments, validation planning, and design-for-manufacturability/testability (DFM/DFT) initiatives.
- Ensure scalability, modularity, and maintainability of product designs.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering best practices and technical growth.
- Serve as the technical authority and primary point of coordination for system-level design across teams.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in analog, embedded, and IoT systems to future-proof product platforms.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master’s/PhD preferred).
- 10+ years in electronic product development, including 3+ years in a systems architect or lead role.
- Proven experience designing electrical measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, analysers).
- Strong expertise in embedded systems, analog/digital design, data acquisition, and signal conditioning.
- Experience with SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, and version-controlled workflows.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (IEC 61010, ISO 17025, FCC/CE).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams, align stakeholders, and make informed technical decisions.
