About the Role
We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Purchase Ledger Clerk. In this role, you will join our Finance team and support the accounts payable function across multiple Megger entities. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment, helping to ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time, while building a strong foundation in finance and working towards a recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase ledger invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring vendor invoices are correctly coded and authorised.
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries.
- Supporting payment runs and posting vendor payments to the system.
- Providing banking support, including cash allocations.
- Checking and processing credit card returns, cash expenses and overseas transactions.
- Supporting reconciliation of the accounts payable ledger and related accounts.
- Assisting with ad hoc finance duties as required.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate Excel skills; SAP experience would be beneficial.
- AAT Level 2 (or a willingness to study towards this) preferred.
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- An interest in finance and working within a high‑volume processing environment.
