We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to join our Quality team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you will perform effective and efficient quality inspection activities, including inspection and measurement of supplied components, to ensure products meet Megger’s specified requirements before being released for production. Working within the Goods Inwards Inspection team, you will verify supplied goods against purchase orders, product drawings, and technical specifications, while supporting the wider QHSE team with quality improvement activities and supplier-related quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and other inspection/verification activities on supplied parts to ensure conformity with Megger requirements.
- Carry out manual and computer-based measurement inspections, including CMM measurements where required.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conforming products in accordance with company procedures, including supporting supplier defect reporting.
- Maintain accurate quality records and support the analysis of supplier and internal performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve supplier-related quality issues and support continuous improvement activities.
- Complete relevant SAP quality transactions and maintain inspection documentation.
- Support wider QHSE activities, including internal audits and improvement initiatives.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Achieved or working towards a Level 4 Quality Practitioner Standard qualification.
- Experience or training in metrology, including NPL Level 1 (Measurement User) and/or NPL Level 2 (Measurement Applier).
- Ability to perform manual and computer/machine-based measurement inspections, including CMM measurement.
- Working knowledge and experience of quality management system standards, such as ISO 9001.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
- Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of SAP quality-related transactions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
