We’re on a mission to be the nation’s most-loved neighbourhood restaurant. Think sunshine-filled food, seriously good vibes, a team that’s got each other’s backs, and there's always a dog snoozing under someone's table. As we keep growing, we’re looking for an Operations Manager to lead from the front, own performance across a cluster of restaurants, and help shape the future of Megan’s Restaurants. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who loves people just as much as they love numbers, and knows that great culture and great results go hand in hand.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll lead and inspire a group of exceptional General Managers, helping them run their restaurants like true business owners.
  • Coach, challenge and support GMs to deliver outstanding hospitality and strong commercial results.
  • Build stable, engaged teams who want to grow their careers with us.
  • Own succession planning, development pathways and talent pipelines across your area.
  • Partner closely with the People Team on ER matters, performance, and development.
  • Make sure training is completed, standards are met, and expectations are crystal clear.

Owning your area like a boss

  • You’ll have full accountability for performance across your restaurants.
  • Take full P&L ownership, driving sales, margin and EBITDA.
  • Analyse performance, spot opportunities, and turn insight into action.
  • Ensure labour, forecasting and rotas are on point and within budget.
  • Lead new site openings in your area, bringing them into the Megan’s family smoothly.

Being present (and visible)

  • This is not a desk job.
  • Regular site visits (both planned and surprise) to support, audit and inspire.
  • Be there for peak trading, big moments and when your teams need you most.
  • Run structured business reviews covering people, service, food, safety and finances.
  • Create clear action plans and follow through always.

Delivering the Megan’s experience

  • You’ll be a true ambassador of our brand.
  • Make sure every guest feels the Megan’s magic every visit, every time.
  • Champion our service standards, steps of service and elite hospitality.
  • Ensure food & drink quality, consistency and menu knowledge are always spot-on.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Support Office to drive local performance and promotion.
  • Own food safety, health & safety and property standards across your area.
  • Maintain EHO 5-star standards and ace all audits.
  • Manage maintenance spend smartly while protecting the look and feel of our restaurants.

What success looks like

  • Sales & EBITDA ahead of budget.
  • Low management turnover and strong engagement scores.
  • Clear succession plans and internal promotions.
  • 100% training compliance.
  • Accurate forecasting and labour control.
  • Glowing guest feedback, reviews and mystery guest results.

What we’re looking for

  • A confident, inspiring leader who people genuinely want to follow.
  • Proven experience running multi-site, high-volume, all-day restaurants.
  • Commercially sharp with a deep understanding of P&L.
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and comfortable making tough calls.
  • Brilliant communicator from kitchen floor to boardroom.
  • Organised, strategic and hands-on (you can zoom out and roll your sleeves up).
  • Tech-savvy, especially with Excel and reporting tools.
  • Passionate about culture, development and doing things properly.

Benefits

  • 50% off when you dine with your favourite people.
  • Plenty of fun, feel-good team socials.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme – free, confidential support 24/7 including mental health sessions.
  • Early access to wages through Stream.
  • Long service awards and celebrations – think fancy meals out and relaxing weekends away.
  • Free, delicious Megan’s food & drinks for lunch every day.
  • Plus all the usual standard stuff like pension contributions & 28 days holiday.
  • Competitive salary, perks & the chance to grow with one of the most exciting hospitality brands in London.
  • Dog friendly office and restaurants – please bring your fluffy four-legged friends to work.
