What you'll be doing
- FP&A, insight & business partnering (the main event - 60–70%)
- You’ll be the go‑to finance partner for our non‑finance stakeholders, helping them truly understand performance and what to do next. That means you’ll:
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to non‑finance stakeholders across a multi‑site business
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes
- Produce meaningful variance analysis and performance commentary with clear, actionable insight
- Build financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases
- Develop and maintain Power BI (or similar) dashboards and performance reporting
- Analyse operational KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support commercial decision‑making through robust financial analysis
You’ll also keep the foundations rock solid:
- Support the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Ensure accurate accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyse P&L performance and clearly explain movements to stakeholders
- Support month‑end close, including journals and reporting deadlines
- Maintain strong financial controls and support audit requirements
Systems & data (where the magic happens)
- Work with finance and operational systems including Fourth and Zonal
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across systems
- Use Excel and Power BI to analyse large datasets and produce insight
- Support continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and processes
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or FP&A role
- Experience working within a multi‑site environment
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, pivot tables, and lookups
- Ability to work effectively with non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience operating in a fast‑paced, changeable environment
- Experience using Fourth and Zonal systems
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Experience within hospitality, retail, leisure, or a similar multi‑site sector
