We are looking for a hands-on, commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow our presence across the South UK. This role suits someone who enjoys working close to customers, taking ownership of outcomes, and leading sales growth in industrial water treatment and wet leisure sectors.
YOUR IMPACT
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting daily commercial operations and driving proactive sales activity. You will be a key contact for customers, ensuring accurate order processing, effective quotation management, and clear communication throughout the sales cycle. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will work closely with a small, well-established team, where collaboration, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential. Your experience and commercial awareness will directly contribute to customer retention, sales performance, and team stability.
HOW YOU’LL DRIVE SUCCESS
- Develop new business opportunities across the South, building relationships through consistent and purposeful customer engagement
- Balance outbound activity and face-to-face meetings to create and progress opportunities
- Build and manage a realistic, well-maintained sales pipeline, following through on commitments and next steps
- Grow existing customer relationships by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and project-based opportunities
- Prepare, present, and follow up on commercial proposals, ensuring clear communication throughout the sales cycle
- Work closely with customer service and sales administration to ensure a smooth transition from opportunity to order
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity updates to support planning and decision-making
- Stay connected to the market, keeping up to date with customer needs, competitor activity, and regional developments
- Represent epco in a professional, reliable, and consistent manner in all customer interactions
WHO YOU ARE
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in B2B business development, industrial sales, or technical solutions sales
- A reliable, enthusiastic professional who brings a strong work ethic and positive energy to the team
- Confident in engaging customers by phone and in person
- Commercially driven, practical, and focused on delivering outcomes
- Well-organised and disciplined in managing pipeline, follow-ups, and commitments
- A collaborative team player who values trust, transparency, and long-term working relationships
