WHAT YOU DOManage and maintain all IFS documentation, non-conformance, controlled documents, and complaint management systems while acting as the primary contact for customer queries and audits.
Analyse operational data and conduct horizon scanning to identify adverse trends, compile complex reports, and recommend effective solutions.
Ensure the continuous development and improvement of the quality management system according to IFS and customer requirements.
Conduct thorough internal audits and plan regular GMP plant tours to monitor day-to-day hygiene standards.
Organise and execute regular site traceability exercises and crisis simulation tests.
Participate actively in the site HACCP team and lead vital process validation work.
Uphold compliance with UK legislation and deliver expert training on food safety topics within your area of expertise.
WHO YOU AREHolder of a Bachelors degree in Food Safety or a science-related discipline.
Formally qualified to a minimum of Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety, alongside an internal auditing qualification (Lead or 3rd party auditing status is highly desirable).
Professional background in the food sector with extensive experience in a comparable quality management role, including project management and basic leadership exposure.
Proven track record of managing and delivering successful audit outcomes with excellent operational knowledge of GFSI standards (BRC / IFS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ideally with practical exposure to LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the business.
Expert user of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace environments combined with comprehensive working knowledge of SAP.
Willingness to work ad-hoc shifts when necessary to support validation work, training, or investigations.
