Wombwell Medical Centre is looking to recruit a salaried GP to work 6-8 sessions a week. We have a CQC rating of Good and a list size of nearly 10,000 patients. We are committed to excellent patient care and are seeking a motivated professional who shares these values. You will be a team player who is keen to support and contribute to our program of continuous improvement and work with us to maintain our high standard of patient care. We are recruiting for a salaried practitioner to join our well-established, friendly practice team. You will play an active role within the team and have the opportunity to progress to Partnership.

Main duties of the job:

  • Work as an integrated member of the practice team.
  • See a wide range of primary care problems in pre-booked appointments.
  • One day a week on-call during surgery hours.
  • Equal share of non-clinical duties, such as admin and lab reports.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications:
    • Essential: GMC registration with licence to practise.
    • Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
    • MRCGP (or equivalent) and CCT (or due to obtain before appointment).
  • Desirable:
    • Previous partnership or leadership experience.
    • Portfolio interests that complement the existing partnership.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
  • UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
