Owen Mumford is looking to hire an enthusiastic Junior Finance Assistant. As the Junior Finance Assistant, you will support the effective operation of the finance function by assisting the Finance Manager with ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining reliable records and delivering timely reporting and administrative support. Please be aware this role is offered full time on a 9-12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and accurately input invoices into the ERP system
- Manage the Accounts department inbox, prioritising, categorising and distributing as necessary
- Respond to supplier enquiries and follow up on outstanding invoices when necessary
- Review and manage miscellaneous invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and all transactions are supported by valid purchase orders, if applicable
- Update UK bank reconciliation with BACS payments weekly
- Update accounts receivable Excel statements to meet defined reporting deadlines
- Send out currency remittances when required
- Download internal invoice copies
- Assist with monthly financial processes, including calculations and postings of internal provisions
- Support cost analysis activities, including regular review of general ledger accounts
- Download and manage supplier invoices from external platforms (e.g. courier and service providers)

- Highly computer literate e.g. Excel/Word and PowerPoint
- Effective team worker, equally able to work on their own
- Highly self-motivated
- Strong communication skills

- Remote working – up to 2 days per week
- Flexi time – covering 37.5 hours per week with core working hours of 9:30am-12 Noon and 2:00pm-4:00pm (3:30pm on Fridays)
