Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to support children with complex care needs across the West Midlands. This role offers a strong work-life balance with office and community-based work.
Skills:
- Airway management including tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management
- Enteral feeding (PEG/JEJ/NG)
- Experience with neurological or spinal conditions is beneficial
Requirements:
- NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification nursing experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong clinical judgement
- Flexibility to support regional packages
Main Duties of the Job:
- Manage complex caseloads including paediatric packages
- Develop and review care plans
- Train and assess care staff
- Ensure clinical quality and compliance
- Review MAR charts and care documentation
- Build strong relationships with families and MDTs
As our Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping safe, effective, and compassionate care for children with complex health needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote the Apollo Home Healthcare brand to all prospective clients and healthcare professionals
- Undertake assessment of new referrals and reviews of current service user care plans
- Assist in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff
- Manage appraisal and supervision of staff
- Provide person-centred nursing care and support to service users, their families and healthcare assistants
- Participate as part of a team using a person‑centred approach, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care delivered
- Maintain and oversee the maintenance of appropriate associated service user records
Qualifications:
- NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification paediatric nursing experience
- Full UK driving licence
