Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to support children with complex care needs across the West Midlands. This role offers a strong work-life balance with office and community-based work.

Skills:

  • Airway management including tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • Enteral feeding (PEG/JEJ/NG)
  • Experience with neurological or spinal conditions is beneficial

Requirements:

  • NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification nursing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong clinical judgement
  • Flexibility to support regional packages

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Manage complex caseloads including paediatric packages
  • Develop and review care plans
  • Train and assess care staff
  • Ensure clinical quality and compliance
  • Review MAR charts and care documentation
  • Build strong relationships with families and MDTs

As our Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping safe, effective, and compassionate care for children with complex health needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote the Apollo Home Healthcare brand to all prospective clients and healthcare professionals
  • Undertake assessment of new referrals and reviews of current service user care plans
  • Assist in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff
  • Manage appraisal and supervision of staff
  • Provide person-centred nursing care and support to service users, their families and healthcare assistants
  • Participate as part of a team using a person‑centred approach, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care delivered
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of appropriate associated service user records

Qualifications:

  • NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification paediatric nursing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
