Job summary

We are looking to recruit motivated and professional Pharmacy Technicians to our team.

Main duties of the job

  • Medicines management at ward level including:
  • Ordering inpatient medication
  • Identifying patients who are being discharged.
  • Completing accurate medicines histories for inpatients
  • Providing medicines counselling for both inpatient and discharge medication.
  • Completing discharge prescriptions at ward level.
  • Ensuring patients have a supply of medicines whilst an inpatient.
  • Stock control and review of ward stock holdings.
  • Training and supervision of pre-registration pharmacy technicians, entry level pharmacy technicians and other support staff
  • Dispensary based activities including, dispensing and accuracy checking medication.

Job responsibilities

As a Pharmacy technician your main duties will be providing Medicines management at ward level including:

All of our Pharmacy Technicians work within our dispensary dispensing and accuracy checking prescriptions for medicines needed whilst patients are inpatients with us and also on discharge.
