Are you passionate about helping people to communicate and achieve their potential? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly Speech and Language Therapy team. You will support the children's speech and language therapy service to provide high quality of care through assessment and therapy intervention for children and young people in nursery and school settings in Wiltshire. We have 2 part-time roles available working 30 hours per week, term time only.

Flexible hours: We're open to discussing working hours to help you balance work with family or other personal commitments.

Base: Derby Court, Trowbridge, BA14 0XQ

Main Responsibilities:

  • To independently devise and implement specialised treatment programmes for children with a wide range of complex speech, language and communication difficulties, with access to supervision by qualified speech and language therapists.
  • To be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of interventions in meeting the required outcomes and making necessary modifications within personal scope of practice and based on evidence.
  • To work unsupervised in a range of community settings including nurseries and schools across Wiltshire.
