Theatre Practitioner Scrub – Robotics Gynaecology and Urology
Location: Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 0TU. Salary: £37,080 to £46,890 per annum. Employment: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Saturday with additional weekend shifts.
At Cromwell Hospital we provide a first‑class perioperative service with a busy and dynamic adult theatre. Our operating suites cater for Cardiac, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmic, Da Vinci Surgery, Thoracic and Liver, Plastics, General/Vascular, Urology and Gynaecology.

What you’ll do:
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
- Provide immediate post‑operative care.
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner ensuring patient, visitors and staff safety.
- Adhere to the procedures for the use of supplies and ordering requirements for the Department as directed by line manager.
- Ensure the accurate collection of data in relation to theatre activity.
- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri‑operative patient care.
- Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
- Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.
What you’ll bring:
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children).
- Alternatively, HCPC registered with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
- Previous perioperative experience in Robotics Gynaecology, Urology, Thoracic is essential.
