Salary: Up to £38,700.00 FTE per year
The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics. You will join the Imaging department as a part-time Radiographer with a flexible shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
- Ensure high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis, minimising repeat exposures.
- Adapt techniques to meet needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and those with limited mobility.
- Provide a safe, dignified, person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable and reassured throughout examination.
- Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond to signs of deterioration.
- Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
- Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters and admin teams to coordinate care and maintain smooth patient pathways.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
- Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
