We are seeking a few Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our Team at Broadmoor High Security Hospital; these vacancies have come about as a result of a recent service review; and we are delighted to be able to recruit some exceptional Staff Nurses for our Service. You will be joining a team that is committed to providing high quality safe care to a complex patient group with challenging individual needs.

If you are a Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health Care, who has a passion in forensics, we would like to hear from you. Not accepting overseas nurses on this vacancy, and this vacancy may close early due to the high volumes of applications.

The post holder will carry out duties as designated by the nurse in charge and report on the patient's condition. They will maintain the orderliness, hygiene and safety of the ward environment and will be required to undertake routine clerical duties.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Registered Nurse Mental Health on NMC Register (sub part 1 RN3 or RNMH, sub part 2 RN4)
  • Able to produce a current portfolio of evidence: which concords with NMC Revalidation process and demonstrates compliance.
  • Able to participate in a Preceptorship Programme.

Desirable

  • Diploma / Degree in Nursing
  • ENB 770 or equivalent in Specialist Field
  • Mentorship in Practice I.e. ENB 998
  • NVQ Assessor
  • Relevant post registration health care qualifications
  • Leadership & Coaching Qualification

Experience

Essential

  • A General experience around mental health gained through a Nursing University Programme or work experience.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a care environment
  • General life experience/skills
  • Evidence of being an Inspirational Leader

Knowledge

Essential

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in mental health nursing practice and current trends within mental health nursing
