The Percy Hedley Foundation is one of the largest regional charities supporting people with a range of learning and physical needs. We take a person centred, flexible approach to the care and support we provide. We have five sites providing specialist education, adult day services, residential care and independent supported living to our service users.
Hedley's College is a high-quality specialist further education and training provider. We provide education and training for young people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities who require specialist individual programmes to develop their communication, independence, and employability skills.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 5 (who has completed their NQP goals) or Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist within our multi-disciplinary Therapy team. Speech and Language Therapists within Hedley's College play a vital role in supporting students and their families with specialist interventions such as both high-tech and low-tech AAC, signing systems and other expressive and receptive communication methods.
The successful candidate would provide input to a caseload of students with complex speech, language and communication needs as well as possible dysphagia needs. You would become part of an existing, dedicated team of therapists who strive to deliver best practice at all times.
