The Role

As a Specialist Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental practitioners and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

This part-time, permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and welcoming practice.

You will work closely with the dental team to provide expert assistance during specialist procedures and maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing chairside assistance to dentists during specialist dental treatments and procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in line with infection control protocols.
  • Ensuring the treatment room is clean, organised, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Supporting patients throughout their visit, providing reassurance and clear communication.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with administrative tasks as required.
  • Adhering to all clinical governance and regulatory standards within the practice.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up to date with best practices.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Dental Nurse with current registration on the General Dental Council (GDC) Register.
  • Experience working within a dental practice, preferably with exposure to specialist dental procedures.
  • Strong understanding of infection control and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Desirable Attributes

  • Additional qualifications or certifications in specialist dental nursing.
  • Experience with sedation, orthodontics, or other specialist dental fields.
