Pharmacy Assistant

Key responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacy team with the accurate dispensing and preparation of prescriptions
- Greet customers warmly and provide helpful advice on over-the-counter products
- Handle prescription intake, queries and collections in a professional manner
- Maintain stock levels, including ordering, receiving deliveries and rotating stock
- Keep the dispensary and retail areas clean, tidy and well organised
- Support the pharmacist with a range of pharmacy services and administrative tasks
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant standards, procedures and confidentiality requirements
What we're looking for
- A warm, approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Good communication skills and a genuine willingness to help others
- The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
- A reliable, professional attitude and a commitment to patient care
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is desirable, though not essential as full training will be provided
- A Dispensing Assistant or Pharmacy Assistant NVQ Level 2 qualification would be an advantage, but candidates willing to work towards this are also welcome
