Radiographer CT Cardiac (Bank Shifts)
Overview
As a Radiographer at Cromwell Hospital, you will provide high‑quality, effective imaging services within Cardiac CT. You will report to the Superintendent Radiographer, work closely with modality leads and the multidisciplinary team, and maintain a flexible and adaptive working attitude to deliver outstanding service to patients.
The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London, offering outpatient and inpatient care. It has over 180 beds, 6 theatres, full intensive care facilities, and a dedicated day‑surgery unit. Our flagship Siemens Somatom CT scanner with flash and dual‑energy capabilities allows you to work on a wide variety of CT examinations, including full‑body imaging, neurological, cardiac, biopsy procedures and specialist orthopaedic imaging. The X‑ray department includes two general X‑ray rooms, an OPG machine, a fluoroscopy room, a DEXA scanner and a mammography machine. We will soon be moving to a new building, Lexham Gardens, featuring state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with all members of the Diagnostic Imaging Department team.
- Promote positive relations with referring clinicians, other hospital departments and outside organisations to uphold the reputation of the Radiology Department.
- Operate and troubleshoot the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS systems, ensuring accurate documentation of patients and examinations.
- Report all accidents, untoward occurrences or problems to the Superintendent Radiographer and record incidents as per hospital policy.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and related regulations to safeguard patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Deliver high‑quality CT imaging services, including cardiac CT, within the agreed shift patterns.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential).
- Substantial CT Cardiac experience (essential).
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
- Strong organisational skills.
