Buckshaw Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Radiographer to join our expanding Diagnostic Imaging Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled radiographer to play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care within a modern independent hospital environment.
As a Senior Radiographer, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, safe and efficient imaging service, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital. You will have the opportunity to contribute to service development, support junior staff and students, and help drive continuous quality improvement.

What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services in line with professional, regulatory and local standards
- Undertake a range of imaging examinations whilst ensuring excellent patient care and experience
- Support the day-to-day operational management of the imaging department
- Act as a role model and mentor for junior radiographers and support staff
- Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, radiation protection requirements and imaging governance standards
- Participate in quality assurance programmes, audits and service improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with consultants, clinicians and external partners to provide seamless patient care
- Contribute to departmental training, competency assessment and professional development activities
- Participate in on-call and flexible working arrangements as required
What you’ll bring with you:
- Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
- Current HCPC registration as a Radiographer
- Significant post-registration experience within diagnostic imaging
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, IR(ME)R regulations and imaging governance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care
- Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working across multiple imaging modalities including X-ray, CT and MRI (desirable)
- Audit, quality improvement or service development experience (desirable)
- Cannulation certification and contrast administration experience (desirable)
