As a Salaried GP with us, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while working alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team including Nurses, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Mental Health Specialists and Clinical Admin Specialists. You'll bring your GMC-registered clinical expertise, strong communication skills and confidence with EMIS, TQuest and Pathlinks to provide safe, effective consultations - all within an environment designed to genuinely support your wellbeing. Thanks to our AHP team, you'll enjoy minimal on-call work, fewer home visits, reduced minor-illness slots, lower repeat-prescription demand and dramatically less admin. Main duties of the job:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care supported by a diverse team including Paramedics, Pharmacists, Mental Health Nurses, Nurses, and IMGs.
  • Enjoying significantly reduced administrative burden thanks to strong back-office support and streamlined workflows.
  • Benefiting from reduced on-call duties, fewer home visits, significantly fewer minor illness appointments, and much lower repeat prescription workload.
  • Working alongside Lead GPs and group-wide Clinical Leads committed to your development.
  • Participating in monthly protected learning time, clinical meetings, and shared best-practice sessions.
  • Taking advantage of opportunities to become a GP trainer or step into leadership roles.
  • Using EMIS and digital clinical tools to support effective and efficient consultation processes.

Job responsibilities:

Our Multi-Site roles provide planned or ad hoc sessions across our South East London practices. These roles may suit GPs seeking regular flexible work, those combining clinical practice with other commitments, or clinicians who want to get to know Penrose before considering a substantive position. We want our Relief GPs to become part of our clinical community, working regularly with familiar practices and teams.

Qualifications:

Essential: GMC-registered GP with a licence to practise; NHS performers list registration.

Desirable: GP Trainer accreditation (or willingness to work towards it).

Knowledge:

Essential: Understanding of primary care clinical practice and GMC standards; familiarity with EMIS and digital clinical tools.

Skills:

Essential: Strong clinical decision-making; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to balance speed with accuracy; effective teamwork and adaptability.
