Hanham Health is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking clinical team based at Almondsbury & Pilning Surgeries. Main duties of the job
- Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across the full spectrum of General Practice.
- Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate.
- Process clinical correspondence and workflow efficiently.
- Review, manage and authorise prescriptions and medication-related queries.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute towards achievement of QOF and other practice quality standards.
- Attend practice meetings, education sessions and service development initiatives.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential: MBBS, MBChB or equivalent primary medical qualification. Full GMC registration with licence to practise. Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List (or eligible for inclusion before commencement). Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice, CCT expected within 6 months of interview date, or equivalent route to GP registration (CEGPR).
- Desirable: MRCGP. Additional qualifications relevant to primary care. Evidence of specialist interests relevant to General Practice.
Experience
- Essential: Experience of working in General Practice or completion of GP Specialty Training. Ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience of maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records. Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, quality improvement and risk management. Experience of using electronic patient record systems. Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Desirable: Experience of working within NHS primary care. Experience using EMIS Web. Experience of telephone consultations. Experience of teaching, mentoring or supervising trainees or students. Involvement in audit, quality improvement or service development projects. Experience in an area of specialist clinical interest.
