Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a curious, driven individual to join Signify Research as a Research Analyst, working within our Research Operations function. You will contribute to high-quality research across Signify’s multiclient and custom research programmes – spanning medical imaging, healthcare IT, digital health, clinical care, and digital laboratory and lifesciences – supporting experienced analysts and project leads with data collection, modelling, analysis, and reporting. The role is ideal for someone early in their analytical career who wants to build deep technical research skills, develop domain knowledge in healthcare technology, and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research Execution & Data Collection: Support delivery of primary and secondary research workstreams across multiclient and custom projects, applying structured methodologies including database searches, desk research, vendor analysis, and market sizing. Assist with primary data collection activities – survey administration and participant outreach – under the guidance of senior analysts, maintaining rigorous data quality throughout.
  • Analysis, Modelling & Reporting: Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to structure and interpret research findings, contributing to output tables, models, and databases in line with established templates. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and data visualisations, ensuring outputs meet quality, relevance, and presentation standards agreed with clients.
  • Operational Excellence & Process: Manage your own time systematically to support on-time delivery across concurrent projects, applying best-practice tools and methodologies to ensure consistency and robustness. Support Research Ops processes including model building, output table management, and database maintenance, conducting work efficiently to support project profitability.
  • Team Contribution & Development: Develop technical and core research skills in data analysis, forecasting, and visualisation, actively participating in training and peer learning. Support team culture and onboarding of new members, contributing to referrals for strong research talent.
  • Product & Customer Contribution: Ensure research outputs align with customer needs and industry trends, contributing to report design and presentation to enhance usability and client impact. Adapt outputs for international markets where needed and maintain research integrity to ensure findings add commercial value for clients.

Skills & Competencies

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Informatics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Medical/Health related, or Social Sciences) or equivalent professional experience.
  • 0–4 years’ experience in a research, analytical, or data-focused role; recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong quantitative skills with accuracy and attention to detail; intermediate data collection, secondary research, and database skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and PowerPoint – with aptitude for data validation and visualisation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage your own workload across multiple tasks, and a collaborative working style.
  • Genuine curiosity about healthcare technology markets, with a desire to develop expertise and stay current with industry trends.
  • Suited to someone at the start of their analytical career, from agency, or data-adjacent backgrounds. Experience in or genuine interest in healthcare technology is preferred; candidates from adjacent markets (IT, cloud, medical devices, life sciences) with transferable skills will also be considered.

Alignment with Company Values

  • Quality: Deliver precise and reliable research outputs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations across every report or analysis.
  • Impartiality: Maintain objectivity in research findings, avoiding bias in data collection and analysis, and ensuring transparency in methodology.
  • Partnership: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior analysts to ensure research insights align with strategic objectives.
  • Trust: Demonstrate integrity by ensuring all research data is ethically sourced, accurately presented, and consistently delivered to a high standard.
  • Expertise: Develop strong research skills in data visualisation, forecasting, and healthcare domains, contributing valuable insights to the wider team.
  • Curiosity: Maintain a constant desire to learn, stay updated on industry trends, and ask critical questions that uncover new insights.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-Time Delivery: Measured against agreed publication dates for both multiclient reports and custom research projects.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Measured via client feedback on products you have supported, using the customer satisfaction survey.
  • Internal Rating Across Projects: 360 review from 3–4 product leads whose areas you have supported.
  • Functional Expertise & Values: Manager-assessed rating on development of research skills, application of role values, and contribution to Research Ops knowledge management over the year.
