It is ideal that you have knowledge of COPD & Asthma management, Diabetes management, Hypertension, sexual health / contraception, cervical cytology, childhood immunisations and vaccines.

Main duties of the job: The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of a Practice Nurse using the standards expected by the NMC and in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines. We would love you to be an enthusiastic and forward thinking clinician who loves general practice and wants to provide the highest standards of care for all our patients.

About us: The successful candidate will join our existing clinical team of 2 GP Partners, 9 salaried GPs, 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants & Paramedic Practitioner. High QOF achievers GMS with approx. 13,800 patients and growing. Fully computerised EMIS web, digital dictation, Electronic Prescription Service, Paper light practice, Fully engaged with the Primary Care Network.

Job responsibilities: Applicants will have experience of working in a GP practice. It is ideal that you have knowledge of COPD & Asthma management, Diabetes management, Hypertension, sexual health / contraception, cervical cytology, childhood immunisations and vaccines.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: BSc 1st Level Registered Nurse, DBS Check
  • Desirable: Diploma in CVD, Diploma in Diabetes, Diploma in Asthma, Diploma in COPD, Approved Smear Taker, Evidence of continuing professional Development, Evidence of immunisation training
