We are seeking a confident Band 7 Physiotherapist with strong leadership skills and a broad T&O background to lead our dedicated therapy team. Our orthopaedic wards follow the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol for NOF fractures, improving outcomes through evidence-based practice.

In this role, you will lead a skilled team delivering specialist assessments and interventions across complex T&O and rehabilitation caseloads. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and champion best practice in orthopaedic care alongside your peers: a B7 Physiotherapist, an Advanced Clinical Academic Fellow Physiotherapist and a Band 8a Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in T&O.

• Qualifications
• Essential: Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc)
• Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Regular engagement in CPD -- Completes a minimum of 20-30 hours of CPD annually, including courses, workshops, conferences, or accredited training relevant to the role
• Experience
• Essential: Extensive post-registration experience working in an acute hospital setting in the NHS (or similar health service) within orthopaedics and frailty speciality.
• Leading and operationally line-managing a team, with experience of supervising and appraising junior staff and students
• Demonstrated performance in high-pressure environments -- Evidence of successfully managing competing priorities, e.g. meeting tight deadlines
• Knowledge
• Essential: Good knowledge of current best practice in Physiotherapy with specialist clinical skills in Orthopaedics
• In-depth knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to client group (#NOF and Major Trauma patients)

• Essential: Monitoring and progressing actions -- Tracks and updates assessments and discharge actions at least weekly, ensuring no outstanding actions exceed agreed timescales.
