Pharmacy Assistant
Are you looking to start or grow your career in community pharmacy? Audrey's Pharmacy is seeking a friendly and reliable Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team. This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in supporting patients and the wider pharmacy team to deliver a safe, efficient and caring service every day.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be one of the first faces our customers see, offering a warm welcome and helpful advice while supporting the smooth running of the dispensary and front-of-shop areas.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service at the counter
- Assist with the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions under supervision
- Manage the sale of over-the-counter medicines, referring queries to the pharmacist where appropriate
- Handle prescription intake, collection and delivery processes
- Administer vaccinations (e.g. flu, COVID-19 and other travel/NHS jabs) in line with pharmacy protocols and training
- Support stock control, including ordering, receiving and rotating medicines
- Keep the pharmacy clean, tidy and well presented at all times
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all standard operating procedures
What we're looking for
- A warm, approachable manner and genuine passion for helping people
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a busy environment
- A willingness to learn and develop within the pharmacy sector
- Must be able to administer vaccinations/injections
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
- A relevant pharmacy qualification (such as NVQ Level 2) would be an advantage
