Pharmacy Assistant Allied Pharmacy at Varo Terrace is seeking a friendly and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team. In this varied role, you'll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy and helping us deliver a high standard of care to every customer who walks through our doors.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Dispense prescriptions accurately under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Provide advice on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products within your scope of training
- Maintain accurate stock levels, including ordering, receiving and rotating medicines
- Handle transactions at the till and manage customer records confidentially
- Keep the pharmacy clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety standards
- Support the wider team with general administrative and operational tasks
What we're looking for
- A friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in healthcare and helping people in your local community
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- A reliable, organised approach and the willingness to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is desirable, though full training will be provided
- A relevant NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, or willingness to work towards it
