Key Responsibilities Include:
- Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
- Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
- Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
- Point of contact for Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
- Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
- Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
- Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
- Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures

Requirements
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
- GMC-registered Doctor
- A minimum of 3 years + relevant post Foundation experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
- Experience of working in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gynae.
- A UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
- Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required. This requires residency for 3 years in the UK
- Medical Indemnity by start date is also a requirement.
Desired:
- Diploma in Legal Medicine
- Member of the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine
- Previous experience working in a SARC setting or custodial environments
