About the role
We are looking for a Chief Cardiac Physiologist or Cardiac Physiologist to join our echo team, in Penicuik Scotland, on a part time permanent basis.
As a Cardiac Physiologist with In Health, you will be proficient with BSE reporting guidelines, providing a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients.
You will have the opportunity to mentor and support our trainee physiologist and be involved in our clinical audit programme.

32Hours a week - Typically Monday- Thursday but once a month there is a Friday and Saturday shift.
What you will do
- Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with [1] BSE minimum data set and [2] local reporting guidelines.
- Provide expert clinical guidance via our second opinion rota, ensuring our reporting guidelines are adhered to during clinical peer-review.
- Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate
- Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs
- Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals
- Support with patient bookings, ensuring patient information systems are maintained.
About you
- Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards
- Hold BSE (or equivalent).
- A full UK driving license
- A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles
- A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
