At Plas Ffynnon Medical Centre, we are introducing a Total Triage way of working and during this period of change we would like to strengthen our clinical team with the recruitment of 2 motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GPs. This is an excellent opportunity for GPs seeking a rewarding role with genuine work-life balance in one of England's most picturesque and affordable regions.

Although we have indicated 6 sessions per week, we are flexible about the number of sessions that you may wish to work. The successful candidates will start by October 2026.

Main duties of the job:

• We are a high achieving training, part dispensing GMS practice delivering a wide range of services to our 9,700 patients.
• Our team comprises of: 4 GP partners supported by a Managing Partner, 2 salaried GPs, 2 GP Registrars, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Womens Health), a Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, 2 Health Care Assistants, a First Point of Contact Physiotherapist, a Clinical Pharmacist, and 2 GP Assistants.
• We also have an experienced admin, care navigation, dispensary and housekeeping team.

We provide the usual range of GMS primary care services and Locally Commissioned Services including coil clinics and phlebotomy.

We are pleased to confirm that we have applied for a UK Sponsor Licence, enabling us to support applications from suitably qualified international GPs. They tell us how well we communicate with each other, something that is underpinned by our daily lunchtime clinical huddles.

We work collaboratively with the other 2 practices in Oswestry and operate from purpose-built premises with parking facilities for staff. We are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.

We provide the usual range of GMS primary care services and Locally Commissioned Services including coil clinics and phlebotomy.

We are also proud of the fact that we work together and support each other as a team to ensure that we all enjoy a sensible work/life balance. We offer our patients a choice of 15-minute face-to-face appointments or 10-minute telephone consultations and build in 30 minutes of admin time into each session.

The practice is an active member of the North Shropshire Primary Care Network. We are an EMiS practice and have just switched our document management from Docman to Anima.

Key areas and responsibilities:

• Provide full range of general medical services according to patient need.
• Participate in and maximise income via Enhanced Services, QOF, LES and IIF taking responsibility for agreed areas.
• Provide on call services in the form of duty doctor as part of the GP clinical team during core hours.
• Participate in clinical audit and governance.
• Complete medical and other reports for patients registered with the Practice.

Education:

• Clinical supervision of other professionals including nursing, and registrars.
• Maintain personal professional development via personal education plan and professional requirements and appraisal.

About You:

Essential:

• You enjoy general practice and are passionate about delivering safe and effective care, contributing to the development of the services that we provide and maintaining if not improving, a Good CQC rated service.
• You must be a practicing General Practitioner.
• You must be included in the GMC Register.
• You must be on the NHS England Performers List (practitioners on the Wales Performer List will have to apply to NHS England but guidance on the process will be provided).
• You must possess excellent communication skills.
