Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Perioperative Practitioner to join the team on a full-time basis. Our theatre team covers a wide variety of specialties including Ortho, Bariatric, General, Gynaecology, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmics, and Spinal. Duties and responsibilities:
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
- Assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet patient's health and wellbeing.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services.
- Contribute to quality improvement.
- Promote people's equality, diversity and rights.
- Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
Who we're looking for:
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
- Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision.
- Previous leadership experience would be an advantage, however we offer award-winning training and CPD.
- HCPC or NMC registration.
- At least 2 years ortho scrub experience.
- You must be passionate and driven and be able to demonstrate your dynamic thinking.
- Completed SFA training would be an advantage, however we are able to offer this as part of your career progression.
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday - Saturday, no nights. Shifts between 7.30am – 8pm.
Contract Type: Permanent
