Priory Hospital Arnold has an opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join our team.
Based in the village of Calverton, in Nottingham and set in extensive grounds, Priory Hospital Arnold is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), for males and females struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing.
We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior nursing leadership and support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the ward
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, supporting their development, clinical supervision and performance
- Act as a shift leader, ensuring safe staffing, effective risk management and high standards of patient care.
- Support the MDT, oversee therapeutic care and deputise for the Ward Manager when required.
Essential for the role
- Active NMC registration.
- At least 18 months–2 years post-registration experience.
- Experience within a relevant clinical speciality.
- Experience providing clinical supervision.
Desirable
- Previous leadership or senior nursing experience.
- Trained Assessor/Supervisor.
- Experience supporting staff development, appraisals and CPD.
- Experience working within a mental health or learning disability setting.
