ITU Nurse/Nottingham/Tollerton/Bank/Ad-Hoc Shift

Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an ITU Nurse to join the bank team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To work as part of a team to deliver high quality and holistic patient care to elective surgical patients within a critical care environment.
  • To assess and plan patient care for a complex and changing caseload.
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
  • Continually promote best practice in health, safety and security.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
  • Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.

Who we're looking for:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Critical care competencies
  • Possession of a post registration qualification in critical care
  • ALS/PILS/ILS
  • Teaching/mentorship course/skills
  • Recent Critical Care Experience
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Competence across a range of critical care skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
  • Critical care competencies
  • Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
  • English language to IELTS 7.0
  • Confident with MS Office and other relevant packages
  • Ability to demonstrate continuing professional development
  • Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences
  • Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.
