A Day in the Life

Are you a highly motivated capital equipment business developer who knows the world of the operating theatre inside out? Do you understand minimally invasive surgery and have the ability to convince both surgeons and hospital budget holders on high-impact decisions regarding medical capital equipment purchases? Are you energized by a highly competitive environment?

Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Be out in the field and travel frequently to meet with clients and colleagues. Occasionally work from home or from one of our many offices across EMEA
  • Engage with surgical teams to assess opportunities for the expansion of robotic-assisted surgery
  • Engage with C-suite executive decision-makers involved in complex innovation projects and large technology adoption plans
  • Support surgical teams in leading hospitals to enhance and augment their clinical strategy through the use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System
  • Convince surgical teams of the benefits offered by the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System, including improved outcomes, benefits to patients, faster recovery, advanced surgical techniques, superior 3D high-resolution imaging during surgery, digital surgical solutions, ease of use for surgical teams, OR efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Engage and convince budget holders and executives in leading hospitals by jointly developing business cases, total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons, and cost-per-procedure analyses to support informed decisions regarding the purchase and use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System
  • Be a proven, positive, and successful collaborator within a matrix organization, managing relationships and delivering outcomes in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Demonstrate a strong appetite for learning and development, with an interest in technological advancements in healthcare

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience leading negotiations and selling complex medical devices or capital equipment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • You are a winner, but in the right way. You play by the rules, do not cut corners ethically, and respect and adhere to company policies
  • Maintain active networks in the field of surgery and operating theatres, with a network of surgeons with whom you connect regularly
  • Operating room experience
  • Travel/in-field requirement: 70%+ of the time

Pay range:

United Kingdom: 55,040.00 GBP - 82,560.00 GBP
